Police Summon VeryDarkMan Over Allegations Against AIG JimohVeryDarkMan Invited by Police to Back Claims Against AIG Jimoh as Senior Officer Faces Questioning

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed that social media personality VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) has been invited by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, to provide evidence supporting the allegations he made against AIG Moshood Jimoh. The invitation, issued on July 30, 2026, is part of an ongoing investigation into the claims.
The police also disclosed that the criminal case referenced by VeryDarkMan is already before a competent court following legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP). In addition, the Assistant Inspector-General in charge of the FCID has invited AIG Jimoh for questioning as part of an internal administrative review, stressing that no officer is above the law and that all allegations will be investigated through due process.
The Force reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, transparency and accountability, while warning that freedom of expression does not extend to making unsubstantiated or defamatory allegations. It urged VeryDarkMan to honour the invitation, cooperate with investigators, and allow the ongoing court proceedings to run their course without interference.
VeryDarkMan has accused AIG Jimoh of corruption, abuse of office, perverting justice and conspiring to falsely implicate businessman Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi in the 2023 murders of Sheriff Salami and Prince Ademola Akinloye. He also alleged that police evidence was manipulated and claimed to have proof that AIG Jimoh improperly influenced criminal investigations due to a personal interest in a land dispute.
